We’ve been running together since she was 6 months old. That’s four years and more miles than I can count. It hit me last night, as I stared at the back of that beautiful baby blonde head, that our jogging stroller days will soon be over. Words cannot express how deeply I have cherished running the trails of different countries and cities with this little one, through times of grief and times of renewal. And so last night we ran, with tears of joy and sorrow trickling down my cheeks, praying from the depths of my raw momma’s heart for the child my sweet baby is growing into. I know our days of running together are not ending, just evolving, but man is it tough! Y’all, this momma is not ready for this little one to march out of her jogging stroller and into kindergarten, but I know she is ready. And I know God has got this, and that is what makes all the difference.Feet in the Air

“Carefully consider the path for your feet, and all your ways will be established.” Proverbs 4:26  Father, please surround my adventurous sweet girl with your angel armies. Guard and protect her every step, as she marches down the path you have set before her.

Running“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 Father, I know that you have got us, that you will not let us fall. Thank you that in you we can trust and know that all is well. We are yours and you are ours.
