Thankfulness For Loving Teachers

IMG_2255Today, my little love became jealous for the first time.  When I picked her up from school we ran to hug each other as usual.  As I knelt down to embrace her, another little friend ran up for a hug as well.  There was a brief moment, seconds before her tears and cries of indignation started, that I could see her trying to process what was happening.  After a good five minutes of solid bear-hugging and one-on-one mommy time, all was right with the world again, and the little munchkins’ friendship was restored.

Her day school has been one the greatest blessings we’ve experienced since moving to Austin.  Her teachers are full of love, energy, and support, they have endless amounts of patience, and are generous with their hugs.  For a mother who was terrified by the idea of a traditional day care, this has been a Godsend.IMG_2256

A Prayer for my daughter:

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the joy and love that you have placed in my precious girl’s heart.  You have blessed her with such sweetness and such strength.  Thank you that you have surrounded her with people who are positive influences in her life, and who will guide her as she learns about the world around her.  Most of all, thank you for the love and encouragement that she receives at school.  I pray that she will continue to grow into a confident and communicative young woman. Amen.
